Weâre still a year away from the return of âGame of ThronesââĻso a data scientist decided to create a complex algorithm to see if math could help predict who will sit on the Iron Throne at the end of the final season.
Obviously, itâs impossible to say where theyâre really taking the show without inside knowledgeâĻespecially since the show has outpaced George R. R. Martinâs books.
But to rule the Seven Kingdoms, you have to not dieâĻso the data scientist used models and âmachine learningâ techniques to predict who dies in the final seasonâĻconsidering things like what house and culture a character belongs to, their title, gender, nobility status, age, and if any of their relatives had died.
He plugged in over 2,000 charactersâĻbut he focused on 10 who have a good shot at the Iron Throne.
Can Math Predict Which âGame of Thronesâ Characters Will Die in the Final Season? â The Bert Show
1. Daenerys Targaryen, 83.8% chance of death
2. Jaime Lannister, 72.9%
3. Tyrion Lannister, 70.8%
4. Bran Stark, 66%
5. Cersei Lannister, 60.4%
6. Jon Snow, 59%
7. Euron Greyjoy, 55%
8. Sansa Stark, 50.3%
9. Arya Stark, 49%
10. Gendry, 39.9%
Of course, no matter what kind of math you use, itâs a fictional show in its final season that doesnât necessarily have to follow any patterns, even its own.
The show could literally bring Morgan Freeman in as GodâĻhave him kill everybodyâĻand just walk over and sit on the throne. Itâs not very likely, but itâs possible, I guess.
