Â
Ellen Pompeo recently renegotiated her contract, and will now get $20 million per year, for two more seasons of âGreyâs Anatomy.â
Thatâs $575,000 per episode, which adds up to $13.8 million per season. The remaining $6.2 million will come from bonuses and âback endâ profits. Sheâs also getting a producing credit on âGreyâs,â and an executive producing credit on an upcoming spinoff.
That makes Ellen the highest paid DRAMATIC actress on TV. According to âForbesâ, the only actresses making more are sitcom stars Sofia Vergara, whoâs raking in $41.5 million a year, and Kaley Cuoco, whoâs making $26 million.
Although, Sofiaâs money includes personal endorsements she does on the side.
Ellen told the âHollywood Reporter,â âIâm 48 now, so Iâve finally gotten to the place where Iâm okay asking for what I deserve, which is something that comes only with age. Because Iâm not the most ârelevantâ actress out there.
âI know thatâs the industry perception because Iâve been this character for 14 years. But the truth is, anybody can be good on a show Season One and Two. Can you be good 14 years later? Now, thatâs [an effin] skill.â
